Health and Safety
All aspects of the event must be adhered to at all times. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum will not be responsible for any physical, psychological and long-term illness or injuries, or death as a result from attending any event. Investigating the uncharted world of the paranormal can be hazardous and dangerous so all clients attend at their own risk.
Fire Procurers
You will be told Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum Fire location and procurers and assembly points in the event of a fire for that location , If a fire should be notice you will need to act to the venues Fire procurers (by evacuating the building via nearest fire-exit)
Do Not:
A) Start to pack up you equipment ( stay calm and not run or shout )
B) Tackle any fires unless you have been trained or you feel it is safe to do so
C) Re enter the location until you have been informed it is safe to enter.
To Do:
D) Head count to ensure that all persons have left the building safety
E) Have information ready for the service that have been called to the location
F) Members or Guest( COUNT ) highlighting anyone missing and where last seen and time
Your Equipment
your equipment must be safe to use whereby you are working towards the health and safety regulations.
Do Not:
G) Use extension lead still coiled up with equipment being run from it in this manger
H) Bare wires or faulty plugs,( incorrect fuse )
I) Extension leads being over powered with to much equipment,
To Do:
J) Power trip switch to be use in the location sockets.
K) Have your equipment tested to ensure its safe.
L) Wires that are in a walk way or in a path that people access will need to be covered to prevent trips and falls.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Please read before booking with Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum
1. Booking Agreement: By booking any event, the participant(s) agree to all terms and conditions, the participant(s) indemnify Pevensey Courthouse Museum, from and against all liability in respect of any costs, claims, damages, demands, penalties, actions, proceedings, suits, losses or expenses in respect of or arising out of the injury to or the death of any person, or damage to any property arising from my participation in the activity. It is recommended that you take out third party liability cover prior to the event also.
2. No alcohol or drugs allowed at the event. Anyone arriving under the influence will be asked to leave. Anyone suspected of bringing alcohol and/or drugs will also be asked to leave. We also have at present a strict policy on NO Ouija boards, although this is being reviewed. (All of the above “rules” are for your own and others safety. Clients.
3. There is a NO smoking policy indoors and you will be advice on the smoking areas. Please also ensure that no candles or other fire hazards are used during your stay unless provided by Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum.
4. Please note that all stories about the location are not fabricated however we cannot guarantee that paranormal activity will take place on the night you stay. Spirits and ghosts have free will, as we do.
5. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum will not be liable for any loss or damage to equipment belonging to the participants, during and after the event, even if caused by poltergeist activity.
6. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum reserves the right to change, add or amend to these terms and conditions at any time. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum also reserves the right to change, add or amend any part of any event at any time.
7. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum are not responsible for any change of clothing that may be required. If you are of a nervous disposition for the event please make yourself aware to a team member. We will keep a watchful eye on you and give you assurances at all times.
8. Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum merchandise that we have on sale, if you wish to buy any of the merchandise please see the staff member on site as all merchandise is countable.
9. Spiritual NO clearance of any paranormal activity is allowed at the location unless you have had it in written approval from the Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum.
10. Please take in consideration of the noise level, to ensure that you are not upsetting or bringing any Attention to the location. You will be required to leave the location clean and tidy or as you found it and to make sure you remove all your belongings when you leave.
PAYMENT
In order to secure your booking the Pevensey Courthouse are now having to intrudes a 25% deposit which will secure your booking date and time, therefore the remanding payment can be paid on the night of your booking or if you wish to pay in full you are most welcome, Therefore any events that are cancelled or postponed by Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum due to weather conditions or situations that are out of our control. If this occurs, Pevensey Courthouse & Jail Museum will make every effort to ensure you receive a prompt refund of payment or rescheduled your booking, Cancellations on your part will require 30 days notice whereby all deposits are non refundable.
